In an American Heart Association BLS certification class you will learn how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for all ages, including adults, children, and infants. You will also learn the use of a BVM (bag valve mask), pocket mask and, especially, the proper use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). In addition, you will be taught how to deal with someone in a choking situation, again for all ages. The training you will receive is that which is required for medical students and workers. If you are studying for a nursing career or any aspect of the medical field, this class will meet your needs.
